O’Dayne Richards Finished 2nd in Men’s Shot Put event at Meeting International Mohammed VI D’Atheletisme

National champion, O’Dayne Richards finished second in the men’s shot put event at the Meeting International Mohammed VI D’Atheletisme, the tenth stop of the

2017 IAAF Diamond League, in Rabat, Moroco last evening.

However he managed to set a national record with 21.96m, as the United States’ Ryan Crouser won with a new meet record of 22.47m. Crouser’s teammate Ryan Whiting came in third with 21.26m.

He was quoted after the performance saying, “this ia a very good result for me, and this is a good sign going to the World Championships where I am Hoping to go over the 22m barrier in London.”
