A superb all round bowling performance carried hosts Sri Lanka to a 9 wicket win over rivals India in the second game of their 6 match ODI series played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa (ra-ja-pak-sa) international cricket stadium.
Angelo Mathews’ 3 for 14 and Thisara Perera 3 for 19 helped restrict India to 139 all out in 33.3 overs of which Gautham Gambir got 65 and Ravi Chandran Ashwin 21.
The home team raced to victory for the loss of 1 wicket and 181 balls to spare.
Upal Tharanga made 59 and Tillakaratne Dilshan Stroked 50 not out.
The series is now squared at 1-1 and the third game will be played on Saturday in Colombo.
