London, England~ Over one thousand standby troops were deployed on Tuesday in order to boost security at the 2012 London Olympics.
The United Kingdom Cabinet Office said the additional troops were deployed as Ministers agreed that nothing should be left to chance.
Earlier this month, three thousand five hundred troops were drafted after contracted security company G4S said it was short on staff and unable to provide adequate security at the Games
